The Slovak National Hydrogen Association (NVAS) is an association supporting the deployment of hydrogen technologies as a sustainable way for carbon neutrality

The European Commission presented the REPowerEU plan, its response to the disruption of the global energy market caused by Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The transformation of the European energy system has two goals: ending the EU's dependence on Russian fossil fuels, which are used as an economic and political weapon and costing European taxpayers almost 100 billion euros a year, and solving the climate crisis.

At the same time, the European Commission is setting a target of 10 million tons of domestic production of hydrogen from renewable sources and 10 million tons of its import by 2030 with the aim of replacing natural gas, coal and oil in hard-to-decarbonize industrial and transport sectors.
